World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated each year on June 5.
To celebrate at school, you can commune with nature, create new environmental programs, use nature-centered lesson plans, and work on earth-centered activities.
Like Earth Day, it’s a day to learn about the environment, participate in conservation activities, and learn about ways to help in the future.

“A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.”
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
