Policies and Procedures E-mail

The nursery policies and procedures apply to all staff, students & volunteers as well as children and parents registered with or attending the setting.

The policies provide an essential framework for staff when taking decisions about the day to day routine and running of their room and the nursery.

All staff take an equal responsibility in ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered too and met at all times as stated in their contract terms and conditions of employment.

Policies and procedures are reviewed annually, or when new legislation comes into place and amended accordingly.

A comprehensive folder of policies and procedures is kept in the office, and a copy is available in the parent’s room for parents and staff to access freely.

All new families who start are made aware of this and are informed of their right to access these, ensuring they are made aware of the complaints procedure and how to go about making a complaint should they ever feel they are unhappy with the service they receive.

All new staff, students and volunteers are given the opportunity to read through all policies and procedures as part of their induction to ensure they have understood what is required of them and can follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures laid out.

Our policies and procedures are also discussed and shared with parents at our parent coffee mornings.

Staff are notified through a staff memo, with an attached copy of the policy for them to sign when a new policy is put in place.

Parents are made aware by means of a newsletter and through our coffee mornings.
